Elementary,middle school "dating"?

Question

In elementary school when kids "date" it's just claiming that ur together and that's it or hanging out at recess and calling that a date and I don't get it they're not really even dating

I middle school I remember some people who actually dated but they sorta trick they're parents. For instance they'd tell them that they are going to see a movie with their friends and they're "friends" would turn out to be a "couple" who were "dating". And one the next day of school they'd say that they went on a double date. Yeh... those were the days. 
My question is what up with the whole "dating" thing. I mean this is what happens they "go out" for like 2 days then when they break up they already "going out" with someone else. (were exactly do the go out? math class???)... I swear to you that when the year is done all those people would have "dated" every person in they're grade.( not stating gays). But it was kind of wierd and funny the way they'd date for like a day then they break up.

But now I'm in highschool. GO SENIORS!! And all the kids that "dated" really just go on a real date when they get into highschool or the 8th grade... Do u remember when u used to "date"?

I never "dated" anyone because I thought it was stupid. I'm now 17 and I'm glad I never "dated" anyone in elementary or middle school...most of the people that "dated" someone say..."What was I thinking?" ...so yeahh the real dating starts in high school! :D

I sure do remember!! I had a "boyfriend" kindergarten through third grade until he had to move away!!! Then I had another boyfriend for a couple of months in fifth grade, but we went over to each others' houses for "dates" because our parents are friends. 

In middle school however...haha...the longest relationship I had lasted a month before we broke up!!! We went out on zero dates. 

I have no idea why I went out with those guys...all I can say is that kids shouldn't want to grow up so fast! Agreed? Agreed!

i think its so stupid.. im in 8th grade and i think were too young to date anyway... most of the ppl who date in middle school are all dramatic, and i wanna slap the "dating" elemantary school kids across the face... srsly! i have a 5th grade sister and she wants to slap em too! lol noooo im not a violent person but jeez the kids are idiots!

i'm in 8th grade, and it's the same, only worse. poeple have "lunch dates" at school. in other words 2 people sit together in a overly crowded, noisy lunch room, and eat their lunch.
