Is an x-ray harmful to my pregnant ***** or her puppies?
My Corgi is about 45days, is it safe to have an x-ray? Will an x-ray or sonogram cause any harm to her or the unborn puppies? Do vets use a lower dose on x-ray for dogs than they do humans?

Your pups are fine. Don't worry. They would have to be exposed to X-rays for very long periods to become harmful. The vets machine would only expose them for a second at very low levels.
Sonograms don't use X-rays. More like radar reflections to create am image.

No it will not cause harm at this point. It is routine to do so at this point in pregnancy to determine how many puppies she is carrying. As for the radiation dose that is a question you would need to ask the vet

x rays are the most common form of confirming and checking status of puppies. It is a lower dose but not by much but it will not harm them.

xrays are REALLY horrid on a VERY EARLY fetus before the bones form - that's why human Dr's are so careful because the worst damage would be done before the woman knows she's pregnant- defiantly before its visible!
at 45 days puppies are past that point and its safe.

Yes, it is safe. An ultrasound would be safer though. There is only one "dose" of x-ray.
