Im a realistic animal lover. Crap happens you cant control and life goes on. Kids first pets second. Pit bulls are only great pets for knowledgable owners. Unfortunatly there are more Pits than those savvy enough to own them. 7 years trying to fix the Pit breed reputation that man ruined. I dont care if your dog is a show quality pup. Over breeding issues are caused by you too!

  • What can be done about getting citizenship after adopted?

My sons Girlfriend was adopted form Canada when she was 4yrs old. Her adoptive parent never filed her citizen paperwork. Now she is 18 and can not get a license, help with or into a college or even an apartment. She has been trying to figure it out on her own but so far everything is a dead end because she is over 18 and the paperwork is geared towards adoptees under 18. Yes her adoptive mom failed her in many ways. We live in NJ if that makes a difference. Please any help at all out there?

  • Has anyone ever heard of Parvo K?

I just started fostering on my own again (used to run a group but politics is not my strong suit). Well I got a puppy that was pulled from a GA high kill shelter and wouldn't you know he contracted Parvo during the transport with 40 other dogs/pups.

I have treated Parvo before, SubQ fluids, enemas, antibiotics for secondary infections. Anyway my vet back home suggested ordering this stuff. It worked with the second dose. No vomit or diarrhea in 12 hours and he just started symptoms yesterday. Has anyone else ever used this stuff? I am curious if this puppy just happened to have a really strong Constitution or if its actually this stuff.?

  • Can a school discuss one students medical status with another student?

I have two boys one in elementary and one in High school. My younger son had an illness and the high school nurse pulled my older son from class to discuss that illness (under doctors care) and wanted him to give her all and any information he had about his younger brother. Instead of contacting me or my husband. Is this against the law? Is this wrong to anyone else?

  • Which is a worse owner?

An owner that leaves their unalter female in heat alone in the back yard or one who owns both a male and female dog both unaltered alone in the back yard while in heat???

In a Question early a woman stated she peeped out her bathroom window and saw "a male" dog hooked with her female. then contacted my email to say it was her male "does that answer my question",. To me this is worse than just a male getting in her yard...What do you folks think?

  • 18-20 yr olds are they adults or not?

My question is related to a "story".

My son is 17 and a senior in high school exactly one month before his 18th birthday recruiters from the Marines, Army and Navy started calling my home wanting my son to "fight" for our country. On Nov17th my son was in a car with 4 other kids from 19 (driver) to 17. They were pulled over for a light out and their car searched. A bag with alcohol was found in the trunk (no one drinking not that it matters for this question) They were all arrested for

    'knowingly possessing alcohol underage).

Now the question. How can our government tell us that 18 to 20 is a responsible enough age to carry M16 riffles, drive tanks, operate subs and ships, fight and die for this country BUT they are not responsible enough to have alcohol in their possession? Does anyone else see a real flaw in this?

Points1> yes there was a drop in alcohol related deaths for this age group when it was raised to 21. But this would happen no matter what age was changed (30 to 40 would have shown a drop too)

Point 2>18-20 can marry, vote in our president and other elected officials, own property and are held liable as adults both civily and legally.

The way I see it there should be prohibitionn where no one drinks, 18 to 20 should not be held as an adult ( no voting, owning, marrying, military service) or 18 to 20 yr olds should have all the abilities of any other "adult".

Whats your opinion?. From a mom, adult, survivor of a drunk driver (was 24) and irritated citizen

  • Need Advise on how to deal with a woman who uses the legal system like a revolving door?

On 11/18 I went to the local dog park as I do most Thursday mornings weather permitting). While I was there a woman ( has assaulted leashed and unleashed dogs with Mace) came in the park. I called my dog away from her and she said I was a "school yard bully" (mind you I have never met this woman but the other people there had told me about her and what her dog looked like) I asked her why she comes to the park just to cause trouble (from 30ft away). She came charging at me saying all kinds of crazy things including "your fat" " you should be home with your kids" (mine go to school) and kept following me and saying this weird school yard taunting (she is at least 50 and im almost 40). Then she starting yelling she was for the USA and Jesus and kept following me and the people I was with. I finally had one of the woman there call the police. they were there for 2 hours talking to this woman. they told us to stay apart yet the minute they were walking out the dog gate she came right over where I was and sat 10 feet from me. Then started in again with me and another woman who just came to the park 5 minutes earlier. I had to go down and get the police to cme back and they saw her approach me. After all this I got a paper in the mail today saying I have to go to mediation (I have not spoken to or seen this woman since that day and didn't even know her name till I saw the paperwork) as she filed harassment charges against me??

  • I have a 9 month old Dane mix puppy with a hard mass in his toe?

My puppy Dallas has a very hard lump in his toe. The vet took an xray and said it was a tumor but at his age he is not sure that it is. They are amputating the toe to be careful. What are the chances of it being cancer!
