If you want to meet someone to date, use a reputable dating site. Craigslist is for hooking up, not meeting the love of your life.

How were you wrong in assuming men seeking mean meant "men seeking men"? How about during your emails and conversations prior to meeting you ask them if they are married? Suggest meeting them at their house (even though I would meet in a public place) just to gauge their reaction?

You can try your own ad but you might still find the same. Craigslist is NOT a good dating source. It more know for sexual encounters regardless of how the ad may sound.

PS I just re-read, I see you assumed men 4 men was single-only. Not on CL! Try Match or Plenty of Fish.

I think you should put out your own ad of what you want. Because they are putting out there own ad of what they are looking for. And it depends on what section you are looking at. If you are in the casual encounter section you will only find a one night stand type of person. Try the relationship section. And just because a man is looking for man that doesn't mean he doesn't have another life. You need to get to know someone, and don't beat around the bush say what you want and how you want things in your life. Take charge of you. Good luck.

I dont even come from the states and ive heard the reputation that site has and its not good.

I would try to find a reputable site even if you have to pay to join if youre serious about meeting someone but my experience of dating sites is that its full of people just looking for a good time and most are lying. sorry
