I've been in the food service business for over 35 years. I'm a major blue ribbon winner at both Hennepin County and Minnesota State Fairs. I also have a cooking show here on cable access in Mpls. and on You Tube and Facebook and 10 other stations nationwide. I have a passion for cooking and baking. My show "The Norhwoods Cooking Show" has been on now for just over a year. We have won MVP award at the station this year for best show made with the camera equipment outside of the studios. Miss Callie is my room mate's dog, and my best companion.

  • Where can I promote my cooking show?

It's called "The Northwoods Cooking Show". Miss Callie and I (Uncle Roy) make easy and simple recipes together in the kitchen. It's a 1/2 show on cable access here in Mpls.. Is there a place we can advertise to the public for free elsewhere? We are on You Tube and Facebook but to promote it would cost us a lot of money. We are not selling anything, just giving away a 1/2 hr from reality. It's full of fun and laughs, and serious recipes. Any ideas? Check it out first and get back to us. Thanks.

  • I can't get rid of the oil stains on the bottom of my oven when it heats up.?

I've clean my kenmore self ignition pilot oven 4 times. When heating up there's an oil like substance that appears on the bottom and smokes up the house. There's nothing dripping from top or racks or pans.

  • Should I forget married men?

It seems that all the men I've met on Craig's List are 80% married straight men. The others are gay men cheating on their partners. I thougt Men seeking Men meant gay single men only apply. I guess I was wrong. Then when they send you their pics, it's only of their front or backside with no face.(in case the wife should catch me). Of course I have met some nice guys that are single ( 1 out of 100) but then they just want the one night stand. Should maybe I put out my own ad and ask for what I'm seeking?

  • I'm baking bundt cakes. Why do they crack?

I'm entering State Fair Competition and they have to be perfect. I'll invert them onto a cardboard circle and let them finish cooling, when I come back they're cracked in a couple of places. This isn't acceptable in competition. What should I do?

  • Where are all the single gay men at?

I don't drink,(10 years sober) or smoke. So I don't go to the bars. The men at the AA meetings are all attached(the good looking ones anyway).I go on Craig's List and they are all straight80% of them cheating on their wives. Or gay cheating on their partners, or too young just playing games. I'm in my late 40's and would like a serious realationship with a decent Man.Any ideas where I could find one? I'm average looks, 6'2",180# br/blu so I'm not ugly either. I also love to cook, garden, bake, have my own gardening bussiness part time, cook at a senior and assistant living complex full time. I also have a cooking show on cable access. So I'm not looking for a sugar daddy, just a decent Man who would like another Man to take care of him spiritually and phsyically. I'm getting too old to be playing and want to settle down. Is that too much to ask for?

  • Should I take a job with great money over a feeling?

During the interview he made sure he was in charge and kept interuptting his wife. It seems she and I would have gotten along better without him. It's a gardening job and I love it. However will the unsettling feeling make me leary of working for him? I mean does this mean he'll probably be a hard boss and not so nice? I'm replacing a small crew with my experience.Or is this just the way rich people behave?

  • I have a straight room mate who flirts with me. I'm interested, but should I let him know?

He's always putting me down, sometimes in public. He thinks it's funny, I don't. However he does very nice things for me without asking too. I have never seen him with a girl, yet he always talks about women when cornered. We've known each other for 7 years and he is my best friend. When I moved in with him 1 1/2 years ago, we don't do as much socially like we used to. However everytime I do something that makes me happy he has to cut it down. Is he jealous of my success, or does he just want the attention? I'm confused, but haven't let on. Any advice?

  • How do I make a rain garden on a steep washed out area of the north side shaded part of the house?

It's very steep and doesn't hold grass(from seed or sod).I was thinking of laying a (small size stones) rock bed from the gutter down the hill to the property line about 30 x 40. Then plant shade plants amongst these. Is this do able?

  • I have overgrown brush and wild plants. What's the best way and easiest to get rid of them and plant grass?

I work at an estate in MN. It's in the woods and gorgeous,. However I have a place below the pool that's all grown in from the woods. Summac, thistle, ragweed, etc. I would like to get rid of it all and plant grass. Should I just spray it all and then cut down the larger bushes and trees? I expect this to be a long project but would like any easy advice. Thanks everyone.
