I fully agree with you Pinki...! Many old askers are loosing interest once they reached level 7....! Some people are answering many questions as they can...! Once they get 1 st rank in Top Answerer list in any category....!
You can see the Yahoo! Products category in Indian TA list....! The Person who gave 4765 Best answers and also in a 1st place in TA List with 84% Best answer...! But past 1 year he is no more in the site...!
Level 7, Top Answerer, Placement in Leader Board is the target for many here...! Once they reached...! They just keep watching the site and not participating....!

Maybe after more than 4yrs of contributing so much without any real returns, they consider enough. Yahoo should consider honoring top contributors who have stayed since its inception.
Or maybe some trolls are envious and creating too many problems. When accounts are hacked or deleted, there isn't fun anymore. The world on-line seems to be as vicious as in real life. It is sad, very sad.

A Thew Possible Reason's.
Alot of people don't Elaborate Enough When Asking A Question. Therefore Leaving the Answerer Asking them Questions.. Pointless.
Improper English, Spelling & Grammar. If people don't care enough to click the free spell checker and Correct their Question, Why should the answerer take so long to Decipher & Answer it.

Don't think its so much as loosing interest, many of the questions are just pages long and you just give up on answering.

I did lose interest for a year or so because I had a lot going on in my life, but have since come back to it and am on fire answering questions. :)

I agree with sweet smile. I think the question has to be eye catching to grab someones attention. Depending on the type of question.

Just like any other cycle every body loose interest one time. they may or may not come back including you. Now it may be interesting, but slowly things, values, interests, priorities change and life moves.

Either their questions are not attracting good answers or they may not be getting right answers.
