Buying Disneyland tickets?

Has anyone ever used the "discount ticket centers " listed on Craigslist to purchase Disneyland tickets?

I would not buy a ticket from Craigslist for all the reasons already listed. However, there are two places I've used to purchase (slightly) discounted tickets:

www.arestravel.com - I just used this site a few weeks ago. You save about $5 per pass.

www.getawaytoday.com - I've purchased tickets for Sea World here - perfectly legitimate.

If you are an AAA member, you can go to one of their offices and buy passes at a tiny discount as well.

    Have fun!

I have not used them, but they operate on just this side of the law.

Disney park policy forbids ticket sharing. What many of these brokers do is buy multi-day park tickets and then "rent" the tickets for individual day(s), usually demanding some sort of collateral like a driver's license, and also demanding the return of the ticket at the end of the day.

Because this violates park policy, if Disney finds out they can confiscate the ticket. They may question how the ticket had been used previously, for example asking which park was entered first on the second day. If you don't know the answer, the ticket is voided.

Some Craigslist and Ebay sellers offer voided, invalid, or duplicate tickets for sale. Since you cannot verify the ticket's validity until it is presented at the gate, you may find yourself holding an expensive piece of trash. Calling Disney to verify a ticket's validity will result in the ticket being voided, since anyone who bought a ticket from a valid vendor knows the ticket is good and knows how many days might still be remaining.

Disneyland will eventually put these companies out of business when they move to biometric tickets that tie the original guest's fingerprint to the ticket being presented. They currently do this at Disney World and have cut back significantly on ticket fraud.

Make sure when buying tickets you but them right at the park entrance, or on the website. you never should buy any ticket that is from another website, like Craigs list. They usually ran out tickets that someone have craigs list to sale. Really doing this is just you loseing money. So make sure you go to the park entrance, and buy some tickets. If you want I will post the Disneyland and World website so you can look on there. Just rememer to NEVER buy anything from Cragis list.

Here is the website: http://disneyland.disney.go.com/ Just go the package and tickets section to do what you need to. They have plenty of good deals, and you can do the same with the Disney World website.

Source(s): Hope you have fun there, and oh my source is me now being a DisneyWorld Employee, and was a Disneyland employee when I lived over there.

I'd stay away from them personally. I used to work at the turnstiles at Disney WORLD seasonally once and had to turn away a woman that thought she had a legitimate 10 day ticket when it was completely voided.

Source(s): Plus, it's Craigslist. Stay away.

    I never have.

But sometimes it's not safe to buy tickets from them, due to fake tickets or stolen tickets.
