Does any one else believe that ANYONE that immigrates to the U.S.?
I believe that people who immigrate to the U.S. should have to learn & be fluent in the english language is this wrong of me.
I have two people that I work with on a daily basis that we have to have someone to translate for us so that we can communicate

I don't know, Yes it would be smart of them to learn the language of the country they're entering but remember English isn't even the native language. Always remember that.

The USA refuses to claim English as an official language because it's from England. There is nothing anyone can do, but it would help for immigrants to learn English.

I totally agree with you 100 percent and I am hispanic. When I'm in the U.S I talk english, but when I'm in mexico I talk spanish not english. So yes I do agree with you, when it comes to the work place you should learn how to communicate in the english language nobody should have to translate because this america not mexico.

It would be nice not to have language barriers at work, but it is America and people can speak whatever language they choose. Be thankful you have someone available to translate, maybe that person could help teach some common work-related words so you can all be somewhat bi-lingual

But I do believe in giving them time (3 months, then deport them)
My grandfather came here from Belgium (sponsored, legally) He spoke Flemish, Dutch, German, French, Latin, and English, then when he got here he had to learn Spanish because the people he supervised refused to learn English
