After falling down, do you look around? C/C?
After falling down
Do you look around
Before you check to see what's broken?
Then stand in pain,
Composure regain
And grumble "I was only jokin' "
Have you stepped in poop
Or spilled your soup
Down the front of your shirt or dress?
Ever mess up like a fool
And try to act cool
And be tragically lacking finesse?
Ever drive through town
Get cut-off by some clown
Who ignores that you're even there?
Do you let your rage linger
Respond with a finger
Or just give back an evil glare?
Are we getting delirious
Taking life way too serious
Always responding with stress or rage
Perhaps laughing gas would do
For some, one dose; some two
Wars of merriment we could wage
What it would look like, I can only guess
If it was joy that we suppress
Instead of anger when we finally snap
Attacking with a smile
Giggling all the while
Experiencing laughter without holding back.

Great write! I would probably need about six whiffs of laughing gas! And then some! This is really infectious, you sound like a very well balanced individual. Thanks for sharing that, it was quite brilliant and very original.

Very good fun poem , I'm guilty of some of your poem
Ever drive through town
Get cut-off by some clown
Who ignores that you're even there?
Do you let your rage linger
Respond with a finger
Or just give back an evil glare?
Yes Yes Yes :)

This was an amusing write, but one that had a message and I'm sure most people will be able to relate to it. I've managed to chill out quite a bit since I gave my job up but I can remember being really irritated by some drivers when I had long journeys to make. Yes it would be great fun laughing at everything and attacking with a smile. Is it going to happen? (lol). Your rhyme scheme is interesting and I enjoyed the read. Thank you

Beautiful. simply beautiful. The rhyme scheme is awesome, and the message of it is pretty understandable. Embarrassment and anger are things everyone shares at some point in their life, and I like how the last two stanzas are a good message that remind us that happiness is the best medicine. Very excellent. Great job :)

Ha ha ha! Loved this! If only people WOULD react with a sense of humor, life would be so much easier.
You put me in a great mood for my first read of the morning, Darlin'! Thank You!

yeah, cause I do not want anyone to see me crying
and also wonder when I see the blood
if anyone is going to help me up
and find out that I have it in myself
bleeding and cut, a storm in my gut to
call on Him who sends me angels who get
me out of so much danger
and give me the strength to make it the length to
smiles, and jokes and good humor
...
I really like what you wrote here, we all take ourselves just a wee tad too seriously most of the time.
that is what kills relationships and drowns friendships.

Hey
I'm sorry you got yourself all fumbled up.
...when I saw, I said Oh Oh...bad timing JC.
Then I told my friend...he's only joking
and he doesn't know who he's joking with
..so I saw you were frying to be thrunny
but it was too late. You see....telling a great joke, well it's all in the timing, and the knowing.
I believe you, cause I know.
...*sigh*

I look around to make sure no one is staring at me...
....if they are....I act as if I'm seriously injured...
...ya know...
...so I don't get embarrassed.
