Egypt- why do the reporters keep rapping about the constitution? They never follow it anyway?
The Egyptian Constitution is apparently a joke. Now they are saying they are going to give power to the military which is not in the constitution. Why would that matter in this situation?

Egypt has been under martial law for the past 30 years, and this suspends the constitution. Only after you get rid of the military dictatorship and martial law will the constitution be able to function.
The problem is that in all probability the US will come out and back another military dictator who will support the peace treaty with Israel.
