how long have you had your ps3 60gb?

My 60gb lasted exactly 3 years 2006-2009 before it got the ylod. Supposedly the motherboard went bad and than it was basically just scrapped. Anyway less and a year after i got it new the fan was super loud all the time and at times it would flash red and shut off. If something is going bad with yours lately i would sell it now so you dont lose the whole system to the ylod. I would get the new slim 160gb.

I have had my old "Fat" 80gig PS3 since they came out back in '08 & I have yet to run across any major problems. I play it a lot, and after a while I would hear it (fan) getting louder, so I "fixed" this by using a simple Laptop Cooling pad under my PS3. No problems at all now & stays cool even after an entire day of gaming.

I had my 70 gigabyte ps3 for 2 years 2009 to 2011 i keep it clean and inspect it every week i keep it kool by having the fan on it or keeping my room kooler i never had problems with it

I've had my 20Gb since launch and it started to overheat last year so I got a slim.

since it came out,no fans or anything and it still works like new..
