2004 Nissan Xterra, loud noise coming from passenger side tire/s... sounds like clicking?

...the sound goes faster as I accelerate- only sounds when I hit the gas, but not in reverse. I have hit a lot of potholes this week.... (really hard to avoid them right now.) The sound quits when I go above 40 mph. What could this be?? I've checked for things stuck in the tires.

Sounds like wheel bering. Could be a CV joint but they usually only click when turning. Hitting potholes should not have anything to do with it. But do you have hub caps? there might be something in the hubcap and when your driving fast enough the centrifugal for will make it stop bouncing around and stop the noise.

looks like a c-v joint once you place the vehicle in a pointy turn the two way if it does it louder on one area than the different that's probable a c-v joint often the outer ones tend to flow first. even have the motor mounts checked too
