Colloquial speech question, "Not right yet"?

Have you heard the expression "not right yet" used as one would say "not right now"? Ex. Daddy, can I go play? Not right yet, we have to finish dinner.

I say this and my wife thinks it's weird and that I picked it up when we lived in KY. Do you use it? And if so, where are you from?

I've heard people use the phrase "not right now", but I've never heard anyone say "not right yet". It sounds a little awkward to me. The phrase that's used would be "not just yet" or "not just now".
