A Raven .25 is made to be a dumpster gun, doesnt have to be reliable, because you are going to shoot it once, and throw it into the river or into a dumpster. Thats why it is a choice gun for criminals. Why spend 500 dollars on a good Glock when you are going to throw it away after killing someone with it (any gangbanger with a Glock has either stolen it, or is using it as his show gun).

BTW, they are NOT reliable. My buddy has three of them, and all three are jam o matics.

Your best bet is to save up about 300 dollars and get a makarov of some kind if you cant afford a glock or something better (makarovs are great guns, and they are reasonably priced, they are in 9x18 makarov, which is an excellent round). .25 caliber is one of the weakest pistol rounds out there.

Everyone thumbed down Newells answer because he would rather try to annoy (IE he is a troll) those of us who are more experienced with firearms than actually give a good answer.

I have had great success with the Raven 25 caliber. One day, while fishing in the Chesapeake Bay, waiting for my crab pots to fill, I found myself in a rock and a hard spot. My fishing line, while fishhing for channel cat, was being pushed down stream by the fast moving current and was getting snagged and cost me 4 rigs. I tore through my tackle box one more time looking for a 3 ounce sinker but sadly I didn't have one. The as a gift by God, what do I see but the flash of metal in the bottom of my tackle box. IT WAS A RAVEN 25! As I used the RAVEN as a sinker, my line never drifted anymore that day. What a wonderful day, A half a bushel of Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs and A Fish Fry!!! Thanks to my trusty RAVEN.

Source(s): I am from Baltimore and the only Raven worth a crap wears a purple and black uniform *** if it is all you can afford, get it If you can afford a little more, get a Hi Point or Patriot ***

It's just a little good, and even less reliable. People give new well thumbs down because when you answer his questions and give a real answer he blocks you. Then he deletes his question. He also insults you in his additional details, and the guy just don't play right. That. And he's a law breaking flamer.

that gun has alot of flaws. now, if you don't mind spending time to work them all out, it'll be a good gun. however, as-is, not a good gun. it'll be jamming, misfiring and all sorts of problems. its been poorly made and badly assembled. however if you needed a handgun and all you have is about 70 bucks, well its better than nothing.

It is very large and heavy for a .25, but extremely reliable.
