i have seen countless forums and yahoo answers questions and youtube videos of people just bashing these little pistols. well i recently saw one at my local gunshop for $95 brand new in the box, i know they havent been made for years but it had never been fired. i took it to the range today with 100 rounds of WWB .25auto and it ran GREAT. it didnt jam or misfeed one time and was quite accurate up to 20 feet. all ive heard is that they are jam-o-matic, throw away guns. i just want to share my experience with the little raven and see what others thought about this underrated pistol

is it worth the effort to build an ak or should i just buy a yugo or something? i am currently looking at a Bulgarian ak74 parts kit. i would need a receiver but nodak has one for 83 dollars. i dont really have a preference between the two rifles. i just want some sort of ak platform.

also how do you deal with headspace when using a new U.S. barrel?

it seems like everyone on here bashes people who play games like call of duty. i can understand being upset because some 12 year old comes on here and wants to shoot 5.56 out of a pellet gun lol but you gotta admit that some of these games are very realistic and can be extremely entertaining.

just so you know i am 21 years old so yeah a lot of you probably think im just a kid but i respect firearms and the responsibility that comes with owning them.

it says springfield but i looked around and it is supposedly a savage/stevens 311? apparently savage owned the rights to the name or something? im just confused?

i reblued my kel-tec p11 slide with birchwood casey perma blue paste and i got it to look really good. i am completely finished and it cured. my only problem is it smells like a bunch of rotten eggs. i was told that a solution of baking soda and water for the final rinse would keep it from stinking but it didnt work. i even let it soak in it. the smell isnt too strong (doesnt come off on your hands) its just frustrating lol. any ideas? i soaked it with rem oil while it cured for 2 days too. im stumped. the gun is reassembled and functions perfectly as it did before at least

ok, i recently picked up a kel-tec p11 that was used and i absolutely love the gun but, the previous owner used some sort of spray on finish (unsuccessfully) on the slide. i have removed all of the spray finish and about 80% of the bluing is still there.

I know i want a blued finish and dont want to pay to get it hot blued. i am currently looking at using the birchwood casey kit.has anyone used this before? and can i go over top of the bluing that is there?

please dont recommend duracoat or any other spray finish. i want bluing or maybe even parkerizing.

has anyone used any of the parking solution from brownells? i just want something that looks good and protects that isnt paint.

i have a jc higgins model 60/high standard c100 semi auto 12 gauge. i it will not cycle shells. ive tried 3 different kinds of birdshot.

remington standard game loads 3 1/4 dram #8

federal field and range 3 1/4 dram #8

and winchester super target 2 3/4 dram #8.

none of them cycle. i havent ran any slugs or buck through it yet. i have been completely through this gun, trigger group and all. i bought it used so i thought maybe something was broke or missing but its all there and assembled correctly. i have been over 3 different exploded diagrams and am 100% positive its together right. any help would be greatly appreciated as this is a really nice gun and i feel like its something small im not getting? also it doesnt have any adjustment for the gas system so i havent messed with it. could that be the problem? every shot it either locks the bolt back or slams the bolt on an empty chamber.

why do people come on here and ask if you can shoot live rounds in a bb gun or if air guns are good for self defense? oh and my personal favorite which .22lr ammo should i buy? who cares if stingers and mini mags work for some guy, try some of the cheap ones first. every .22 is finicky but why pay 6 dollars for 50 stingers when maybe the bulk packs cycle fine.

is it necessary to take down and clean the internals on a semi auto shotgun? i have a j.c. higgins model 60 and it shoots great and i clean the bore and everything i can reach too but i was just wondering.

and if so does anyone know where i can get disassembly/reassembly info for it?

anyone have any experience with the p11 or even the p3at or ruger lcp? looking for a 9mm or .380 or .40 thats decent under $300
