why are people so stupid?

Well, Nick, a lot of questions asked are just ignorance because there are a lot of young people just pumping the older guys for info. I remember in the Marine Corps that most every instructor would say ( after asking if there were any questions....... and after a little silence)....the only stupid question is the one you don`t ask. Also, he would add, after answering, If you ask the same one tomorrow, then it becomes stupid.

Super61 is right. I personally like throwing in a little esoteric humor for us responsible gun owners to enjoy in light of the barrage of painfully idiotic questions. I give all the regulars on here kudos for putting up with it, and still you guys/girls bother to courteously point people in the right direction when they have a legitimate concern.

Yes it's true, society is becoming ridiculously urbanized. I blame video games primarily. The level of ridiculousness of the misconceptions kids have about firearms and the military today, even though they're just kids, leaves me speechless. And it's all because they absolutely have to play the newest Call of Duty game and go disarm a Russian nuclear missile base single handed. But hey, in today's super high tech, high speed world nobody would buy a video game in which you play as a U.S. Army Ranger running a security checkpoint or questioning Afghan locals about a possible hidden weapons cache would they.

Variety is the spice of life. If we all sat on the same level of intellect the world would be rather dull.

Stupid questions do give the opportunity to give an answer with a little humour.

Don't know.b still trying bto figure out why tornados always seem to set down in trailer parks or why rich famous people can't afford to hire a driver but insist on drivng drunk.
