Neither.
Glock, Ruger, H&K, Sig-Sauer, Beretta, Taurus, Smith & Wesson.
The person who said Glock was not worth it, has never carried on duty, nor ever been properly trained in using a firearm, bottom line, they are talking from what they have heard, not actually experienced. Regardless of the next string of foolish comments made by that person, they have no clue.
I have carried a Glock 22, (.40 S&W), for the past 15 years, it has ALWAYS fired when I needed it to fire, and NEVER given me any issues to not trust it with my life.
Glocks were not made for beauty, or to win any contests for looks. They are a "working" pistol, for the Law Enforcement Officer, Armed Security Officer or Military Personnel, plain and simple! Quick, easy, user friendly and accurate enough to get the job done properly.
That cannot be said for many other sidearms.
I used to carry my Ruger P-89 on Duty, but its heavy. That's my gripe with my Beretta. Both very nice shooting 9mm sidearms. My H&K USP .45 ACP, (SOCOM), is a great sidearm too, but its huge. Its a big gun! Its long and wide. Its as light as my Glock 22, but its just big.
My wife's Sig is a great 9mm. But again its heavy. She likes it, and she can carry it!
I have carried a S&W 5904 while working for an Armored Car Company. Like it, like not carrying it even better.
Taurus, well its nice, but don't want to carry it either, too heavy.
The real point is to find a pistol that fits your hands comfortably and that you can control, and get to all of the controls.
My favorite 9mm is my CZ75-B! Great pistol, based off the Browning High Power. If you have not checked out that pistol, do so. You'll be suprised.
Good Luck and Happy Shooting!

The sigma 9 is pretty good it comparable to a glock 19 but about half the price. The keltec p11 is good for right handed shooters but there are issues with the grip. You can only put two fingers around the grip which could effect control. I would go with the S&W sigma 9 because its comparable to a glock 19 and I trust the S&W brand name.
