Can someone help on Math problem?

I need to know what the equation would look like.

"The sum of three times a number and 7 more than the number is the same as the difference between -11 and twice the number"

Update:

what would 7 more than the number be? thats where im stuck.

    each place it says "number" put an x

    3x +(x+7) = -11-2x

    so, 4x +7=-11-2x

    6x=-18

    x=-3

    seven more than the number is (x=7)

    3x+(x+7)=11-2x

    (3x)+(7+x)=-11-2x
