How to install Windows XP on HP laptop?

I have a HPg60-508us laptop with a limited bios, and by that I mean that I can not change any settings in the bios. In order to install windows xp on my laptop i believe i need to switch my Hard Drive to compatibility mode which is impossible because I can't change any setting in the bios. If I can get some help with this issue it would awesome!

Try making a "slipstreamed" windows xp installation dvd containing sata drivers.

(i didn't do this myself but it's the only option i can think of, in my desktop i just put xp on a seperate ide-hdd, but you can't do that on a laptop)

    To get more info:

Look in yahoo answers for "slipstreamed xp"

take a look at this site: http://www.nliteos.com/index.html

and maybe take a look here: http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/kb/article.php?id...
