Just started to work out and needing help?

I just started running recently and well, it's not exactly enough to get my body in the condition it needs to be in. My doctor just wants me to get healthier and try healthier habits. I have NEVER worked out in my life. When I was last active in working out, it was about six years ago.

I was wondering how much should I start lifting when I start lifting weights. Also how many sit ups should I do in one day. How far should I run or how long? I wasn't sure if I was supposed to do this with a time thing or not.

I am only 106 lbs, I'm not trying to lose weight or anything. I'm just trying to get my body in a healthier condition to cut down on some medical issues. My doctor said I would be doing a lot better if I would just work out. And seeing of how I don't want to go pay for a personal trainer at the gym and I have the gym equipment I need already at home, I was just wonder how to start out so I wouldn't hurt myself more than help.

I can't tell you how much to do, since I don't know what you're physical abilities are.

Although, when doing any kind of physical activity, push yourself near your limit while not making hurt too much. So when running, go as far as you can at a steady pace which you can manage. When weight lifting, use as much weight as you can when doing 4 sets of 8-12 repetitions.

Detoxing would be a great way to kick your wieght loss into gear, Cleaning your body from all the bad stuff will give you more energy to start and complete you workouts they way you should. Look at it as an oil change for a car, runs better with clean oil. Adios
