Of all the former WWE legends to pick, why did Vince have to go with the Rock?
Jamie Noble, Trevor Murdoch, TAKA Michinoku, Funaki, Mike Knox, Mike Knox's beard, Big Daddy V. They could have used any of those guys, they would have assured WM tickets would have been sold in a minute, and yet they get some never-was guy like the Rock. The Rock could never excite crowds like Murdoch could, and his fan base was insignificent compared to Mike Knox's beard.
If Vince wanted to go all out, why not go for any of those guys? Yeah, I know Simon Dean and Braden Walker would have been better choices, but WWE obviously can't afford their contracts. So why not pick up a lesser major star like Funaki, rather than The Rock, who was never able to reach the levels of the aforementioned wrestlers?

Wow are you crazy? Jamie Noble and Funaki will have nothing to do with the demise of the Cruiserweight Division, so they'll just job. Mike Knox is big with no talent, Big Daddy V is the same thing, Trevor Murdoch is a pathetic little prick, and i don't know the Michinoku guy. The Rock is a legitimate legend, he is probably one of the greatest in-ring competitors, and has some of the greatest mike skills. You're just a hater, why would WWE want to bring back those losers when they could have someone who has one of the largest fanbases ever?
P.S.-Are you drunk? How do anyone of those guys even remotely have a bigger fanbase than the Rock. You obviously haven't been watching very much wrestling in the Attitude Era (or you're a 10 year old brat) to know that the Rock and Stone Cold were the most loved wrestlers of their time, while the people you mentioned had a few good matches, but mainly jobbed and couldn't talk on the mike to save their lives.
P.S.S.-The other wrestlers weren't able to meet the level of the aformentioned Rock.

Because The Rock is the only one, and The Dragon means the ONLY one, who says "monkeyass".
You know, come to think of it...The Rock loves talking about peoples' (and animals', for that matter) anus, and Vince (at least according to DX) loves, uh, "roosters". Maybe there's a little more to the contract than they're letting on?
Vince, being the "rooster"-lover that he is; The Rock talking about anus all the time (he even has a move called The Rock BOTTOM)...

Because the rock has the least amount of self respect out of all the guys you mentioned. So he is perfectly fine with working in such a crap place like the WWE.
