Simplifying Fractions?!?

Can anyone show me how you simplify this fraction:

p-(q/((p/q)+(q/p))). I keep trying to solve is and I end up with (p^2-q)/p but the answer is p^3/(p^2+q^2)

    p-(q/(p/q)+(q/p)))

    p-(q/(p/q+q/p)

    p-(q/{(p^2+ q^2)/q p}

    p-(q * q p/(p^2+q^2)

    p-{q^2p/p^2+q^2}

    {p(p^2+q^2)-q^2p}/p^2+q^2

    {p^3+p q^2-p q^2}/p^2+q^2

    p^3/(p^2+q^2)
