How can a society obsessed with prejudice be so sectarian?

You will be driven up the wall and probably grow grey before your time if you are trying to make some sense of what western society or indeed, any other society for that matter, is doing and saying.

There is so much talk about what is "good" and "bad", and "right" and "wrong". But all of this debate only goes on in the public place where people are in full view of each other. As soon as we are all on our own and certain that no one is looking, we do just that which pleases us.

So why waste so much time debating stuff? Just go do what you want to do if you can get away with it. That's why, for instance there is "Tax evasion" and there is "Tax avoidance". Tax evasion is labeled "illegal" but Tax avoidance is "smart" when in reality the purpose of both are exactly the same - you don't want to hand your money over to the tax man, only with the latter you have taken the trouble to find a loophole in the law!!!

So, don't be fooled by the so much talk that goes on in the public place because that is exactly what it is - TALK. Identify what YOU want for yourself and pursue it undeterred by what the throng have to say about it. Just make sure that whilst you are at it, you remain keenly AWARE as to whether it really serves you or not.

How foolish do you have to be?We are not sexist or racist or prejudice towards gay people or different religions.Go back through history, and look at how people treated eachother and than you'll realize how liberal we are.Let me tell you something,if there are prejudice people in this world, they will directly tell you that!I wish it was a shame to be a Christian where I come from.I've never seen the BBC but I'd like to see this.You don't see how importent the god debate is to them.Personally, I hate it but they do it for fun so just let it go.It greatly matters what a person believes because one could mock the other if they believe they are wrong and it can lead to them making the wrong decision.It may because I might have to wait for you to be done praying if you are a Muslim or what restaraunt you have to eat at because you are a Jew and should I kill that mosquito on you if you are a Hindu.

Personally, I don't care if a person believes in a god. It's when they're discriminating other people and then justify it through their religion. Everyone should be treated the same regardless of their gender, sexual preferences, race, age, etc. That's the stuff that needs to stop.
