Covering a tattoo with a tattoo?

Hi everyone -

So, when I turned 18 like most other people I got a tattoo on my back. (BTW - I'm 30 now...) Picked from a book, nothing special. I have had more since, they actaully mean sometime... Now, I want to cover my fish. My fish is about 3" long and 1" high, but he is solid black and blue. Will it cover well? Will a tattoo over it have to be dark to make the cover job work? Any ideas on what I should cover it with?

That's really up to the tattoo artist. I would make an appointment with an artist and see what they would suggest. Also some artist will specialize in cover up work.

Most people think about tattoos and dont pick something out of a book....Well sensible people. Dont blame your age cause Im 19 and Ive been planning my tattoo for 2 years and Im getting it next month...

Anyway..If its solid black it will need to be covered with either black or a very dark colour. It might not cover it completely.

You're doing it again. You are asking us to tell you what to get. You may as well pick a random design out of a book which you will regret again in 5 years....THINK actually do a bit of thinking and you might not regret it this time.
