Besides skype what is the best way to chat with a webcam?

I am currently serving overseas and i am using Skype now but everyone is blurry.... They all have good and newer web cams. Is there something i can do to make make them more clear? Or maybe a better service?

Had you tried your webcam at home with the same results or different ones? it could just be that you have a comp without very much resolution if this was the case then buying a whole new web cam would be a waste of money. if you have the opportunity to use a different comp and try it out if you have the same result then your second best bet is to get what is condered to be one of the best web cams available for less than 100$ which is the logitech webcam pro 9000, honestly on these the audio could be a bit less spotty but other than that there pretty good. priced at around 90$ you can get it at a non specialty place (target, amazon.com,etc) for considerably less

oh and if your not trying to do all that then i guess msn or yahoo are the best webcam sharing sights (that ive tried)

The problem is probably your internet service. Intercontinental internet service is not the best in the world, and as such, Skype is probably detecting a slow connection somewhere between you and the person you're talking to and having to turn the video quality down. You could try Yahoo Messenger or MSN Messenger since they both have webcam functions and see if that's any better, but the root cause is more than likely the distance between you.
