Jigoku Shoujo remorse?
I just finished the fourth episode, but I noticed that every time a person is given the opportunity to express remorse they refuse to do so. If a person expresses remorse will Enma Ai not take them away, or is she just messing with the person that she is going to ferry away?

No they will def be taken away no matter what their answer is. Enma asks them if they know what they did wrong since most of them do know they are wrong but won't admit it. I think she's not "messing" with them (she's not a bad person), she just wants to know if they are willing to accept their fate after what they did... But they will be taken away if the string is pulled.
