    I would assume if they were recognized as being real then they would end up with rights, just what they are would be up to all the lawyers on each side fighting to lay down the foundation.

    No, but courtesy of the most f**ked up supreme court in history, other non-living entities such as corporations now do. It's essentially the same thing.
