Is there a way to get reduced air flights if I were to travel to Florida every weekend?

If I bought a condo in Florida I'll need to get there. Is there a way to get reduced rates if I go there every weekend?

It depends on where you are flying from or where you are flying to in Florida. There are some low cost carriers that have dirt cheap prices flying to/from Florida, like Jet Blue, Spirit Airlines and Allegiant Air. But weekend rates are not normally discounted. Friday-Sunday travel is considered a peak time, and airlines take advantage of the weekend travelers. Some airlines will do last minute weekend fares, but I wouldn't wait for them. If you happen upon a sale, book several weekends in a row that are available during that sale, alter your days if you can, specifically fly out on a Thursday and return Monday morning. Otherwise, signing up for a Frequent Flyer program and getting their sponsored credit card is going to be the easiest way to go. Frequent Flyer's, especially the high level ones are the first ones to get alerts to sale fares.

You can always look at http://matrix.itasoftware.com/ to see what the published fares are for your destination a month at a time. However, if Southwest services your local airport, you will have to go directly to their website, as they do not participate in any travel sites other than their own.

Fly the same airline and join their frequent flyer program. Once you reach elite status you'll be able to get perks like priority boarding, luggage, check-in, lounge access and with enough miles will be able to get award travel flights and or upgrades, and many airlines now offer reduced fares when you combine miles with money. Check out the frequent flyer program of the airline you like the most that flies from your home city to Florida, for frequent flyers there are real benefits to be had.

Well, there is a way that you can get a reduced fare and that is to become an elite member of your preferred airline choice. I said that because elite members do get lower fares, if possible...other than that, the simple answer would be no.

Yes, as you will know your dates in advance, you will be able to book the lowest available rates.

    Remember, airlines file air-fares, 363, 100, 90, 50, 30, 14, 10, 7 an d3 days before departure.

As said here before, check which airline goes from your departure airport to your destination and book in advance and collect miles that will allow you to up-grade and fly for free.

You could call the airlines customer service & ask.

There are some low cost carriers that you could check. Join the airline's frequent flyer & you'll get mileage points. Then, when you have enough you'll get a free ticket using your points.
