I have a 42 inch vizio I switched my TV service to FIOS, I no longer have a wide screen, how do I get it back?

When the technician left and I started to switch to different channels, I don't have a wide screen I now have a small square screen with black background on each sides. Is there something that I can do?

Press the Wide button on the remote for screen size options or if that doesn't work go to the on screen menu for Setup and reset the TV back to factory settings.

You need access the menu of the cable box, instruction should have been left or call FIOS tech support. Or check out the settings option in the FIOS menu. Either way, you need to set the box to 16:9, 1080i. On the fios remote, hit menu. When it comes up, scroll down to the Settings, under settings you should find the setting for HD. If not, call FIOS and request help in setting up the box for HD viewing.

And be sure you are connecting the tv to the box with red/green/blue component cables or HDMI.
