This I can not answer, since I am an High Church Episcopalian. But I can tell you that your first confession is what is called a "life confession", of all of the sins up to that moment. We have confession too, but it is not the same as in the RC church. People can do it or not in mine. There is usually some time of preparation for the first one, since it will be quite different than all that come after that. Ask your priest.

is there really an age at which one must begin confessing to a "priest?" Jesus is the High Priest and no others are necessary for confession. no one comes to the Father except through Him. do yourself a huge favor and read God's word, the Bible! God bless you.

I've been taking confession since I was old enough to recite my act of contrition, and everything I've read just says "after baptism."
