Still disputing.. First confession ?

So I'm saying first confession is at the same time as first holy communion, friend says first confession is the last sacrament before marriage and not taken till a child is about 14. I know she is wrong!! But she is so sure she is right. Is she?

You are right. I don't know what she is talking about. Are you talking about the same church? In the RC church, a child is of the age of reason at the age of 7; before that they do not know right from wrong. I don't know what she is talking about just before a wedding. She might be remembering some catechism class and the seven sacraments of the church. Maybe they were in order on the board and she is a bit confused by that. Maybe she just isn't too smart.

Now I would guess that there might be a difference between the time you can and the time you must. But I really don't know, I am just guessing on that. It that were the case, you both might be sort of right.

Your friend is wrong. A person's first confession is heard just before their first communion.

Foggy memory, but I think I did both of those around the same time and confirmation later on.

Your friend is wrong. Tell her to call the local church and find out.
