My cat uggs (named by the children) is expecting 4 kittens ( had a vet scan) she is due any day now. I have great homes already sorted, nesting box and medical stuff if she or the kittens need any help.

I am really stressing because I love my cat do much and I don't want her in pain. I am really scared about the birth. Any advice how I can help? Anything I can do for the pain? Thank you in advance

I see people have been so helpful already! Why do they bother answering, i mean the idea of spaying now is disgusting. I hope uve ignored them!! My cat is about 8 weeks pregnant, and ive read so much about cat pregnancy but im surprised that pain hasnt come up before. Cant say its something ive been worried about! I believe that their labour can be quite short, and films of cats giving birth have shown the mother to be quite calm and in control, i havent seen a single one crying out of pain. maybe you cud do a search on youtube? it may help. as far as i can tell different cats respond differently to labour, some cats want to be left alone while others are happy for u to sit there and watch. personally i have her nesting box set up, which shes shown no interest in whatsoever, i also have a heating pad as my flat gets pretty cold depending on which room youre in. i also have some scissors ready to be sterilised, some dental floss and some old towels and flannels. not sure theres much more u need, maybe a book if ur interested in noting down times of arrival lol. depends how precise u want to be! other then that reassuring words may help. i wouldnt recommend putting ur hands in when shes giving birth unless u dont mind the risk of being bitten or scratched. im not sure how much this has helped, i wud just say be there and research a lot to put ur mind at ease x

Frankly, sure all of this strain is dangerous for her, attempt to minimise it up to viable, hold the brand new cats seperate, attempt to deliver her an area which is solely hers and undoubtedly speak for your vet , for first-class instances like this there are remedies which is able to support hold her calm. Otherwise you rather are risking her kittens.

iron some unused clothes and wrap them to your cats to make them feel relaxed. just by simply being with your cat makes your cat feel your love for them
