Yellow, gold and white are great choices for a spring wedding. I can see it using white linens and yellow napkins. Get some pretty small gold ribbon to tie around the napkins. For centerpieces try clear or yellow clear glass vases (or drop a dab of yellow food color in the water) with an assortment of yellow flowers. Cylinder vases give a clean modern look and would be easy to band with more gold ribbon. Use lots of votive candles (not tealights), minimum 7 per 8-top table and scatter some yellow rose petals on the table around the vase.
Contrary to what you may hear "seasonal" is not always the least expensive. Lots of beautiful flowers are available year round and a mixture would give you the wonderful textural look that's so popular now.
Since I don't know your budget I can't make specific recommendations.
Yellow flowers available in April include; spider & button type mums, alstromeria, open roses or spray-roses, tulips, daffodils, dianthus (carnation), Yelloween or Conca D'Or Oriental lilies, callas, acacia, solidego, craspedia, freesia, gerbera, iris, kangaroo paw, leucadendron (Gold Strike), oncidium-cymbidium-vanda-or-mokara orchids, snapdragons, and of course there's always sunflowers. Depending on your location you may also include forsythia in the mix.

Wow! First congrats on the upcoming wedding. And the upcoming baby!!!!!
Okay, so you definitely have a lot of questions, and they are all coming out stream of consciousness (I bet there were more!). So when I've talked to friends and I've gotten tha type of response that usually is indicative of the feeling of being overwhelmed and then it snowballs. Because there are so many parts to a wedding, and when you think of one it then leads to the next and then the next.
The trick is to chip away at the wedding. And to do that you need a plan and a checklist.
I highly suggest using a wedding planner or a wedding planning book. You can google all around for wedding planning tips but you will usually get a lot of information. What I suggest in these types of situations is a really good wedding planning book or wedding planning ebook because it will give you structure and a plan and a reference. You'll have in front of you everything you need and then you can use your google search to fill in any blanks.
My favorite book hands down is Erica Yoon's Best Wedding Planning Book. It is a fantastic reference and I've linked it in the source box. And a brief article I wrote on how to get organized when you start your wedding planning
Good luck!

I wouldn't use yellow & gold. those are 2 accent colors and what you need is a main/dark color. here's some combos:
wine & gold
lavender & gold
black & gold
chocolate & gold
navy & gold
gold is a good color to use because it's easy to match. I used teal and it was real hard to find the exact right color for everything I wanted- my candles were more blue :(
as for your table linens, those are white. you use your theme colors in your centerpieces, whether that's flowers or candles or vases. but the linens are always white or ivory, and so are the plates.
go see some florists and ask what's in season in April. that's the cheapest way to go. flowers can be expsensive tho so shop around.
check out the maggie sottero destination collection. they have a lot of grecian style empire gowns that would work for you. you can use the website to find a shop near you that carries those gowns. congrats on your baby!
