Will I still get my unemployment check?
I got approved for UI benefts recently and just sent in my continued claim on the 21st. I am currently waiting for my first check to come in the mail. Today my career counselor suggested I register for California Training Benefits. So I did it and then I got an email stating that my interest was received and they flagged my claim. Now Im worried they aren't going to give me my UI.
What do you think? Will I still get my check or did the career counselor screw me over?

Yes, you will still get your check.
What it means when they "flag" your claim is that if you go into training later, you may still be able to get benefits while in training. Until then, it does nothing.
CA law says that they can pay California Training Benefits only if you asked during the first 16 weeks of your claim, so they "flag" it to indicate that you met the deadline.

No familiar with CA law, however I'd say yes although you might have committed yourself to the Training.
