    Start off with f(x + h):

    f(x + h) = 2(x + h) - (x + h)²

    ==> 2x + 2h - x² - 2xh - h²

    Then,

    lim h→0 (2x + 2h - x² - 2xh - h² - 2x + x²)/h

    ==> lim h→0 (2h - 2xh - h²)/h

    ==> lim h→0 h(2 - 2x - h)/h

    ==> lim h→0 2 - 2x - h

    ==> 2 - 2x

    Your answer is incorrect. It's 2 - 2x.

    I hope this helps!
