BOSS CAP2B won't charge?
There is power coming from the battery and the ground wire is hooked up properly. When I put the negative wire on the cap's negative terminal and then touch the resistor that came with the cap, which is connected to the positive wire, to the cap's positive terminal, the screen won't flicker like it's supposed to. I don't know what to do.
Oh, and earlier I accidentally made sparks on the negative terminal. Maybe the capacitor is damaged?

dont waste you time energy or money on a cap, they dont help and if anything they put more of a strain on your cars stock charging system
if you are having charging issues you need to look into doing the "big3" and/or upgrading your alternator

A cap does put a strain on the charging system. The alternator has to recharge it every time it discharges. I have never had a cap in my 20+ years of having a system and installing stereos/amps/speakers as a hobby for friends/family/myself. I am pushing 1000 RMS to my pair of 12's, plus my mids/highs amp, which is another 200 RMS. And I have the original alternator, with 255,000 miles on it. And it is a 105-amp alternator. Do the Big 3 on your vehicle will help, and if you need more get a hi output alternator.

Get someone to check it out, you may have damaged something (or not but you won't know until someone does). A cap doesn't strain the electrical system, it provides a buffer so the alternator doesn't receive the power demand spike. A cap can quickly discharge in response to the sudden power draw of an amp. An alternator isn't designed to increase output quickly or dramatically so running a big stereo without a cap or second battery clost to the amp can result in burning out the alternator. if the other guy was referring to capacity, he's correct in that a cap doesn't add any more power to the system so you can still run into power shortage issues.
