How can I tell what my FPS is while running a game?
I'm building a new PC and want to know how many more FPS I get running certain games. I've ran Furmark on my current system and it runs about 10fps, I should get about 90+ with my new build, but I'm wondering how to tell the fps while playing a game. I've seen the scores listed on certain sites for different games using different GPUs. How can I get these scores? What software do I need?

You don't need additional software. You just need to look up how to do it for each individual game you play. However, there is a great program called fraps if you prefer to install a cure-all.
Every game is different but every game has the same option.
It's just easier to access in some games.
Like in World of Warcraft, you just press Ctrl+F
In Call of Duty 4, you have to hit ` (console button) and type in 'cg_drawfps 1'

i don't think you need a software to determine your PC / game performance.
you need to download a benchmark patch for each game you have.
