I have never really been a MMO fan, mostly due to subscription fees. I played some WoW but not for very long, DnDO and Everquest momentarily and very vaguely. But I am a big D&D, RPG and Star Trek fan. I loved baldurs gate and the neverwinter nights series of PC games. Anyway, are either of these two titles worth downloading?

I've been playing PC games since the early 90's. Colonization, Civilization Call 2Power, Warcraft 2, Unreal 1, BALDUR'S GATE, final fantasy 7, Battlefield 2, CoD, Elderscrolls, Mafia. Just a few of my favorite PC games that I've burned countless hours playing, but I think CIV5 with the new Brave New World may be the greatest PC game of all time. So what was the best game ever made?

I ordered an AMD FX-8320 CPU now I just need a board to stick it in. I was looking at something like this http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-SATA-6Gbps-Motherbo... . I noticed there are more expensive boards with 990FX chipset like the asus sabertooth. Why is the 990fx better than 970 chipset? I'll be using a single GTX 560ti GPU. So I dont need sli or anything is there any performance advantage to a more expensive 990 board? And I also noticed there are less expensive MSI brand boards, are these anygood. I have only used Asus and gigabyte mobos.

I built this system a couple years ago to play MW3, BF3 SKyrim, Fallout and such. It has been a good machine but earlier this year it suffered a power surge which blew the ethernet port on the mobo so i have to use a wireless usb adapter to connect to net. The entire system has become very unstable and crashes often. I took it to a professional who claimed to have worked for microsoft debugging software or something; he couldn't fix what ails though it does run better now. In an attempt to breathe life back in to it Im am going to replace mobo, CPU and reformat HD and reinstall OS. The 1156 socket is almost obsolete now and I am wondering what would be a modest upgrade to the mobo and CPU I now have. I dont need anything extravagan; I've already ordered a pre-built system from cyberpower with i7-4770 & gtx 770. This one will probably end up being my 13 yr old son's gaming machine. I am going to keep GPU, and maybe add a some more RAM. Also if you only have the name of a good PC building forum where I can post this question that would be a welcome answer too.

When using a ranged attack and firing past another creature to your target you suffer a -4 penalty, but if you would have otherwise hit target do you hit creature providing cover instead? i remember there being a rule like this in D&D 3rd ed. but could not find it in PF core rule book. So, do I assume a miss when firing into such a melee is just a miss and no one at all is injured?

I have an older bass boat it has an 85 hp jonson javelin motor. I tried to take it out last weekend but the steering was locked up. It will turn one way but not the other and when turning the wheel it gets to point where the wheel will go slack with about 90 degrees of play without moving the motor. There is an aluminum box (I assume is a gear box) beneath the dash that the steering wheel shaft goes down into. I assume it needs a new gear box, but I don't know a whole lot about boats. I can fix just about anything if I know what needs to be replaced. I looked up, boat gear box, steering box, steering assembly but cant seem to find anything related to my problem online or anything that looks like the part I need. Please help.

Okay, for question number 2, how do I create a partition for saving backup data on the HD I'm currently running windows on? I am going to have to reinstall windows 7 in order to upgrade from a 32bit version to a 64bit version. I have only one HD it is 1TB and I've used up about 200GB I would like to backup this 200GB of data on to the hard drive I am going to have to reinstall window on. Is there anyway to create separatete partition and do this or will I have to buy another hard drive

So I just finished building my gaming pc a week or two ago. I bought windows 7 home premium which came with both 32 and 64 bit installation disk I thought Installed 64-bit OS but I couldn't get any 64 bit drivers to work and always had to download the 32 bit software for it to work. I didn't think to much of it at first but after the second or 3rd time of not being able to install 64 bit driver (this time is was the xbox 360 accessory software) I decided to check "my computer properties and it says I'm running a 32-bit operating system. So, I guess I installed the wrong disk, ****! How hard is it to upgrade to 64 bit? I realize I will have to reinstall all my drivers, but is it fairly simple; can I still keep documents and installed programs, or will I have to start with a clean slate. I don't have a whole lot on this pc yet other than a dozen or so games installed only 3 or 4 of which I even play, but I really really, really don't want to have to reformat my hd I don't really want to reinstall windows either but realize I have to in order for it to be a 64 bit version.

What are the main benefits of running a 64-bit OS other than being able to run more RAM? I only have 4GB of ram right now, so would there even be any real benefit of installing 64-bit. So what's the difference between 32 and 64 and what does upgrading entail? Thanks for your help.

I keep leaving my PC downloading software (legally, so I don't need any dumbass remarks about what I'm downloading) and I keep returning and finding my PC in sleep mode when I wake it up the downloader has stopped and should have had the program downloaded several times over. I just built this PC on a windows 7 platform. My other PC was/is XP so I'm still trying learn all the tricks to running win 7. So how do I keep it from passing out on the job as soon as I leave it alone?

I'm building a new PC and want to know how many more FPS I get running certain games. I've ran Furmark on my current system and it runs about 10fps, I should get about 90+ with my new build, but I'm wondering how to tell the fps while playing a game. I've seen the scores listed on certain sites for different games using different GPUs. How can I get these scores? What software do I need?

I've been running a 7950 gt ko in my PC for the last five years my card before that was a 6 series nvidia card, I've had no problem with the geforce cards but it is time to build a new PC for next gen. gaming. I ordered a gtx 560 ti 2 GB but the order was canceled for some reason. So I have the chance to change my mind or order something a little better. What is the best $200-300 card I can buy? The gtx 560 2GB was $270, is there anything better I can get for the same price or $30 more. Would a gtx 570 1 GB be significantly better (or any better) than a GTX 560 ti 2GB. Does Anyone prefer the ATI cards over geforce?

I am thinking about shelling out another $50 for a GT 430 gpu to run as a dedicated Physx card. Does anyone know if I will get any significant boost in performance in doing this. I will be using it for Call of Duty, Battlefield 3, dragonage, testdrive, Mafia 2, Elderscrolls and such. One more question.

My last PC was win XP based (directX 9.c) will my older games still work with windows 7 64bit directX11 system, such as games that say win XP or Vista that were made before Win7.

How do I mask my IP address so my ISP can't tell who I am. Say I wanted to download something without my ISP knowing. Say I wanted to use a bittorent and didn't want my internet connection disconnected for said download. I am considering attending a seminar on how to become wealthy trading stocks online. Its a 2 hour drive and a hundred dollars to register, and I have a feeling it may be more sales pitch for seminar 2,3 and there books/software. I've always been interested in learning about how the stock market works and how to use it. I would like to know if there are any good online courses, tutorials, or webinars that anyone might recommend. Oh yeah and it would be real nice to find something that is free.

When I first got a PS2 back in 2002 and first played A-spec I was smitten with it: the graphics, the customization, the variaty of cars from dirt track rally cars to formula 1 race cars, I loved every bit of the game and spent many sleepless nights advancing in my virtual racing career. I also liked playing Juiced for the PC a lot (nothing compared to GT3 of course). I liked the customization options and the betting aspec of the game but it constantly crashed on my PC, usually during a pink slip race which caused me to lose my car.

My PS2 recently went to the giant circuit city in the sky. I'm considering buying a xbox 360 and am wondering if there are any quality racing games out there. I like games that allow you to modify your cars the way that you want to, and cover more than one type of race, I also Liked Juices show off competitions and the drag races, they gave the game a little more variety rather than just driving round and round. So is there any games out there that compare to the GT series or does anyone know if there will be. Oh and please don't bother mentioning GT5 I played it on my little bros PS3 and did not think it was all that great. Sure the graphics are awesome, but it seems they've traded graphics for selection of vehicles and modification options. I love the games were you start out with a used inexpensive little foriegn car. And race your way up to the big leagues, rather than starting out with any car you want and having no real reason to keep on racing race after race.
