Why do you think homosexuals make such an impact?

to the homophobes.. Honestly, why are you so bothered with other people's differences. I have to know.. What they do from day to day, how does that even affect you personally? You don't see them coming to your doorstep or asking for approval, so why does it even matter?

Update:

lol I meant for homophobes to answer this but great answers so far I suppose. I guess they don't have an answer because they don't even know.

Update 2:

@Imran, I'm not talking about sins. I'm wondering why homophobes and anti-gays actually care personally aside from what some book tells them.

Update 3:

Okay, homophobes or Christians that hate gays for no reason is that good enough for you? I wanted to stray away from generalizations but since Christians base their opinions on the opinions of others I want to hear a real answer besides "it's an abomination," or "because the bible said so" those don't answer my question.. because clearly neither of those answers can explain how homosexuals impact you personally, I mean whats the point of hating someone and not having a good reason?

People fear different; they don't understand it and ultimately they choose to destroy it out of fear.

Actually I think their impact is misjudged. I have attended church all my life and I hear homosexuality mentioned rarely. With only 7-8% of the population being homosexual that is a small minority sin. It seems to me you should focus on sins that have a larger impact on the population then such an obscure sin.

A "homophobe" is someone who is afraid of homosexuals. I am not afraid of homosexuals. They do not make any "impact" on me at all. However, since I live in California, if something on the ballot gives me the opportunity to vote against legalising gay marriage, I will.

By the way, that's why we call this a democracy. Not everyone agrees on the same things.

Homosexuality is against nature and against morality thus wrong. And on a personal note homosexuals think the sun shines from there posteriors. Homosexuals are irritating brash in your face all the time and just so pushy and backstabbing. Thus in my opinion rehabilitation or exile is the only real way to deal with them.

Religious people don't fear homosexuals, per say. They fear homosexuality, itself. And what I mean by that is they fear of homosexuality becoming prevalent in their society. And the reason they fear homosexuality in society is because this signals the end of times, in their Holy Scriptures. Maybe this will further clarify:

    Religious People Fear Diagram:

Presence of homosexuals > Homosexuality is becoming prevalent > Sign of the End of Times

When taken into consideration that there is a LOT of misinformation about gays out there, it wouldn't surprise me if they thought that gay was contagious and they could be at risk for catching it if a homosexual sneezes near them.

Source(s): homophobes are such a strange people.

Because homophobes are stupid and intolerant. They can't live with the fact that people are diverse.

No. Instead, the bully their laws into our government and get special protections that Christians cannot receive.

No idea. You should ask them, but that wouldn't result in much of a good answer.
