My parents ground me for B's?

My parents have grounded me for a month now just because I "don't turn in work"

My mom's the secretary so she has all day to ask teachers about my life.Today we got a progress report and I threw it away by accident, and it wasn't required, so now she's killing me over it. She also never lets me go out, have friends over, or do ANYTHING, even when I'm not grounded. They buy me a $1000 and I can't use it 99.9% of the year. Is this very fair to me?

jack, if you're an A student, they'll ground you for B's....if you don't hand in your work, it's called 'being irresponsible', therefore why wouldn't you be grounded?? you're 'unrequired' progress report is your way of partial communication between you, your teachers, & your parents....how would you like it if your' parents 'threw out' a gift sent in the mail to you by your most favorite gift giver? the $1000 'thing' that they bought for you...well, all I have to say is evidently it's been taken away from you because you haven't proved that you can handle it, or deserve it, cuz you're behaving 'irresponsibly'..& yes, it's fair...you'll understand this when you finally get to understand both sides of 'fairness'...they are not out to get you...what you're failing to realize is that they know more about life than your young years, & they are helping you help yourself...everything is not so 'black & white'..like your being grounded for your 86, 84, 93, & 86...you're being grounded because of your irresponsibility, your naivety, your excuses, your attitude, your blaming of the wrong people...when evidently, you are the one messing up....not a huge thing, but it's what's happening in your life right now...the important thing that your parents understand, that you can care less about right now, is your work ethic, & the way you handle the things on your plate...ya wanna blame your parents, but won't realize this is YOUR life, not theirs....don't mess it up...your parents are the ones watching your back....better than you are right now..no???

It sounds more like you are being grounded for deliberately not turning in work, verses the B's. Also, even you're not buying that you threw it away be accident... and what would be the point... only to perturb them farther. You know she can get the report reissued.

If you stop yanking their chains... they'll stop yanking yours. Guaranteed! )^_^)

btw... not clear on the $1,000.00 thing, you left a few words out.

If you ever think that parents are going to be fair... you've no idea. But, when you start being fair to them, well... they'll be on your case less, extending privileges more, and bank rolling more of what you want. All teens think they're treated unfairly... it's your hormones raging. Back up and punt, you'll get to the goal line faster. )^_^)

They might mean well but as a parent myself (besides not turning in hw) I'd be so proud of you.you realy sound like a good kid. They are being to hard on you. I'm so sorry. Try and talk to them or have some one close to all of you help you talk to them. Good luck
