I hate the word tolerance; it suggests that you still hate someone, you just hide it to be civil. People should RESPECT other people for who they are, not "tolerate" them.

Tolerate what? In life, not everyone will be perfect so you're gonna have to tolerate a lot of stuff. But most often, don't tolerate anything that'll ruin you in the future.

Tolerating someone keeps you out of trouble. It's silly that you should be expected to respect everyone. Tolerating them means that you can just do you without worrying about them. Tolerating them means not initiating strife, but not necessarily being friendly or even respecting others. Also, understand that you should never tolerate anything to your detriment.
