I need to know how to get my truck back?
I got divorced two years ago. In the divorce papers, I was granted the truck, and last year I loaned the truck to my ex because he was going through some hard times, and he claimed he would set up a payment plan with the truck finance company. Now I find out he didn't make a payment plan, and he wont give me the truck back. What can I do?

Take your divorce papers to the police department and let them take you over to get your truck back.unless you signed over the title to him. In that case you may need to get an attorney to sue for it or talk to the finance company and get them to repossess it and then get it back that way from them. You might tell him that you are going to sue him for the value of the truck plus punitive damages of say $10,000 for hurting your credit standing by not making the payments. That may scare him enough to give the truck back. You may be better off suing for the value of the truck if he has the money now because you don't know how he cared for it while in his possession.or what he may do to it if he knows he has to give it back. Talk to an attorney - legal aid if you are low income - and explore your possible moves to get either the truck or the money for the truck.

If you were granted the vehicle in your divorce papers and its a final product and on file with the court contact your police or sheriff's dept where you live and where your ex lives. They can provide with guidance and can take enforcement action if need be.

You can sue him for the return or the truck since he didn't meet the terms that were agreed upon when you let him borrow it.
Or you could just show up at his house at 3 am and take it.

Take him to small claims court. Never lend anyone anything even an ex or should I say esp an ex.

Take him back to court, or call the police. That's called theft you know? Grand theft.
