Are you able to apply for colleges that are far away from where you live,say you live in New York but wanna go to college in Florida,is it possible?

Of course it is possible. There are lots of nice schools in Florida and the weather sure is nice though the schools in the state lack some of the prestige that some of the old northern schools have.
Of the state supported schools, university of Florida and new college of Florida have the highest GPA requirement. New college is a very small very avant guard school that you really should visit and feel comfortable with prior to applying. there is also florida state in talahassee and university of south fla in Tampa and university of central Florida inorlando.
Private schools are Stetson, Rollins, Florida Soutern, eckerd, and university of Miami.
