How can I successfully clean caked on food off of a microwave ceiling?

I try to keep up with cleaning my appliances, but I noticed last night that the ceiling (roof?) of my microwave has food dried and caked onto it. Does anybody know what will magically take this away? I do try to pick best answers. Thanks!

Use lemon juice and water in a bowl. Heat it in the microwave so it boils and creates steam. After the microwave turns off, leave it for a few minutes and then carefully open the door and use a scrub sponge and the lemon water to clean the oven.

Lemon all the way!! Cut a lemon in half and squeeze into a bowl of hot water. Put the rest of the lemon in the water and put it on for a few minuets. As the water Boils the steam will release the stuck on dirt and will also leave the microwave smelling lovely whilst not using any nasty chemicles. Perfect!

Mix solution of 1/4 cup of vinegar and 1/4 cup of water and put it in the microwave and turn it on as the solution boils it will loosen the caked on food and deodorise at the same time try it out.

microwavable bowl, half fill with hot water

after you juice a lemon, chuck the skin and remains into the bowl

microwave on high for a few minutes

leave the door closed and let sit for 5 mins

open the door, get rid of the water

and just wipe away all the grime with a paper towel

bonus is your house smells lemony fresh afterwards

and it really does make it just fall off/easily wiped away

when i juice lemons, i keep a screw top jar in the fridge for the remains to use for this, and other cleaning jobs, they keep for ages

Get a rag and soaak it in water then place it in the microwave and set it for 10 to 15 minutes ...the steam will soften the grub and wont harm your food like other chemicals will..and its cheap and easy and actually works! dont gotta spend a dime at a store!
