The only instructions I see tell me to use little to no fabric softener. Are the dryer sheets the same thing?
7 AnswersNewborn & Baby8 years agoWhat names sound good with Mary?
We want our little girl's middle name to have the name Mary in it, but we don't want it to only be Mary. So we were looking for a name to go with it... for example:
MaryBeth
MaryAnn
Any others?
14 AnswersBaby Names8 years agoWhat kids song has the lyrics "I like my dress, I like my robot arm?"?
My nieces heard a song on the kids station of the Sirius station (in the car). The only lyrics they remember are "I like my dress, I like my robot arm." We're trying to figure out what song it might be. Any ideas?
2 AnswersLyrics9 years agoCan you help me figure out what animal they saw?
My mom and dad were out on the porch one day and saw a strange animal go by. This is how the described it:
size of a cat
long tail
trotted like a dog would
dark brown in color
fast
low to the ground
This was seen in a Chicago suburb... we don't have a ton of forested areas, but some. We also live near a river, but not near many farms.
Any ideas? They say it was not a fox and not a coyote.
4 AnswersOther - Pets9 years agoIs there any way that we can look up somebody's criminal record (if they have one) online?
I don't know somebody very well, but I was told they had a record. Is there any way that I can search that for free online? Everything I've found is leading me to sites that charge money.
7 AnswersLaw Enforcement & Police9 years agoCan somebody help me with my questions about a 3 month old baby?
We have a foster child with us- he's 3 months old. I do not have any of my own children, but I have my degree in early childhood development and education. Several people have given me "advice" on how to care for this baby. I don't know if they think I'm ignorant because I don't have any children of my own, or what. But this is not my first time around babies. lol. I just wondered if anybody could help me feel better about what I currently do and what people are telling me to do. How many ounces (of formula) should he have each feeding? (I've been doing between 4-6oz) And about how many hours between feedings? (I've been doing about 4 hrs, unless he's asleep... I wait for him to wake up.) And should I be burping him between every ounce like we would a newer baby? Thanks for the help! :)
5 AnswersNewborn & Baby9 years agoDoes anybody know of a crib for two babies?
We have the potential of adopting two babies within 5 months of each other. They will each be newborn. It is not the same as having twins and allowing them to sleep together, because they will be growing and developing at different rates. But we have limited space, and wondered if there was a double decker crib or a crib made for two babies?
1 AnswerOther - Pregnancy & Parenting10 years agoWhy do I have a lump underneath my bruise?
Last week I had one of those very sturdy baby gates fall back on me. It hit both the backs of my legs... one more than the other. I bruised immediately. It hurt so bad. I am on baby aspirin (as a blood thinner), so I tend to bruise easily. I didn't think much of it. The next day, I noticed a lump underneath a part of the bruise. It hurt to press on it. A week or so has gone by, and the discoloration of the bruise is diminishing. However, the lump is still there, still hurts, and it's starting to itch really bad too. Does anybody know what this is all about? My husband is freaking out and thinks I should see a doctor in case I have a blood clot.
3 AnswersPain & Pain Management10 years agoI am looking for a specific potato salad recipe, can you help me?
I had an amazing potato salad today, and I can't figure out the recipe. I googled it, for what it was worth, and still can't find it. Here is what I know:
* It had hard boiled eggs.
* It did NOT have red potatoes in it.
* NO onions.
* NO celery.
* I could taste mayo.
* NO mustard.
Any ideas? Thank you in advance!
4 AnswersCooking & Recipes10 years agoHow do I know if my child has rotavirus?
We had the flu in our house. I was pretty sure the little guy had it too. A few friends told me to be careful- it could be rotavirus. What are the symptoms? How many "bad" diapers would he have a day? He seems happy, but he's not sleeping well (for naps- at night he's fine) and he has bad diapers. No fever that I can tell. Any help/thoughts?
3 AnswersParenting10 years agoHow do I stop a diaper from leaking so much?
We have a little guy (14 months old) visiting our home (a foster care type situation). He drinks water off and on throughout the day, but he never seems to go overboard with it. He also takes a bottle of milk (about 5-8 oz) before each nap and bedtime (three times a day). Because he's not with his family, the bottle has been a security thing for him... he doesn't want to be without it. But we are having leaky diapers every night. I was getting up to change him mid-way through his sleeping at night. That would usually help. Then some friends suggested going up a size in diapers. It didn't matter/help at all. He'll leak in the day if I wait more than 2-3 hours to change him. So going 11-12 hours (at night) is especially leaky. Last night I tried those Pamper's Extra Protection (overnight) diapers. He went from 9:30pm-5am and was soaked... clothes, diaper, bedding, etc... :( I need help! I am making sure his boy part is pointing down. I'm making sure the elastic flaps around his legs are pulled out. I'm trying everything in my power to stop the leaks. Any suggestions? Thank you so much!!!
4 AnswersPregnancy10 years agoWhat will get hardened cheese off of serving spoons?
I make soups and things with melted cheddar cheese in them. But I have such a hard time when it comes to clean up afterward! I wondered if there was some sort of solution or cleaner that takes melted- then hardened- cheese off of spoons? (I have a wooden spoon, a metal spoon, and a plastic spoon... all are being very stubborn right now.)

17 AnswersCleaning & Laundry1 decade agoCan you please help me think of a name for my blog?
I am recreating my blog... and I never did find a catchy name for it when I first started it. I'd love for my name (Sarah) or my nick name (Sisi) to be part of the title somehow... but I'm just not creative enough to come up with something cute or catchy. Any ideas?

10 AnswersOther - Cultures & Groups1 decade agoWhat name goes well with this bunch?
We're getting another kitty tomorrow, and I wondered what name sounds good with the names of our other cats:
Riley
Sydney
Bailey
(We made them "gender neutral" on purpose... and we want to stick with that theme.)
The names I don't want to hear are:
Casey (any variation of spelling)
Cory (any variation of spelling)
Marley
Harley
Charlie
But we do want it to end it "y."
I do pick the best answer! Thanks so much!!!
4 AnswersBaby Names1 decade agoAny help coming up with baby boy names?
My husband and I like more traditional (yet unique, if that makes sense?) names. We're having a hard time agreeing on boy names, but our girl names are Naomi and Norah, just to give you an idea of what we like... kind of old fashioned, yet pretty and not crazy. LOL. Any ideas for boys? I tossed around Liam, Owen, and a few Biblical ones, but he didn't like any of them. The only one he kind of liked was Eugene. Any and all "good" answers are welcome. I will pick my favorite. :)
