How do I know if my child has rotavirus?
We had the flu in our house. I was pretty sure the little guy had it too. A few friends told me to be careful- it could be rotavirus. What are the symptoms? How many "bad" diapers would he have a day? He seems happy, but he's not sleeping well (for naps- at night he's fine) and he has bad diapers. No fever that I can tell. Any help/thoughts?

His poop will be green. Rotavirus is the only thing that can turn them that color. Either way the treatment for diarrhea is the same as the one for a minor case of Rotavirus. If he has watery wet stool 5 or 6+ times a day it is defiantly diarrhea, but that can be caused by a number of things. Age also comes into factor too. Children under one are considered a much bigger risk if they contact anything causing diarrhea. Take him to the doc if you are concerned. You know him best!

Did they deliver your child drops earlier than he obtained his different pictures? That's how my daughter has gotten her rotavirus immunization. She obtained it at two months, four months, and six months.
