What will get hardened cheese off of serving spoons?
I make soups and things with melted cheddar cheese in them. But I have such a hard time when it comes to clean up afterward! I wondered if there was some sort of solution or cleaner that takes melted- then hardened- cheese off of spoons? (I have a wooden spoon, a metal spoon, and a plastic spoon... all are being very stubborn right now.)

Put them in a heat proof bowl or container and cover with boiling water and a squeeze of dish soap. All of them should stand up to the heat.

In this case, a good scraper or another metal spoon to be used as a scraper is the answer. I don't use wooden spoons whereas they can not be soaked without eventually splitting. Cheese dishes are best handled with metal. Soaking over night will help but ultimately, scraping is the only way to get it off quickly and well.

Soak them in water before cleaning them... Also use a faux steel wool scrubber and lots of soap
