Are these parts compatible with each other?
Hi I'm building my first gaming computer with a budget of $600 after rebate for just parts.
All parts will be bought off newegg!
Ok I chose...
Case - Antec three hundred illusion
Mobo - AsRock M3a770DE
CPU - AMD Athlon II x3 450
Ram - G.Skill ripjaws 4gb 240-pin ddr3 1333 (pc3 10666)
Video Card - MSI Twin Frozr II GTX 460 768mb (Fermi)
PSU - Corsair Builder Series 600w
HDD - Western Digital Caviar Blue 500gb
Optical drive - lite-on DVD writer iHAS224-06 lightScribe support
Other things that are in my list to buy...
ASUS PCE-N13 PCI Express Wireless adapter
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OEM
Rosewill HDMI cable 6ft
Rosewill RTK-002 anti-static wrist strap
I know that the CPU is outdated but I need something in my budget. But if it bottlenecks tell me.
Questions:
1) Will all the part work with each other?
2) Does it bottleneck? Suggestion? I want to keep the GPU since I comes with 2 free games, but if it bottlenecks I'll change it to a 5770.
3) Is 600w enough power for just a core unlock, 6 fans, a aftermarket cooler(maybe to Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. Rev.2 92mm CPU Cooler), and a later upgrade to a Phenom II x4 955? Suggestions? Oh, I'm NOT overclocking!

parts should work with each other just fine
assuming the 4th core unlocks, you're on the edge of being limited by the cpu. if it doesn't unlock, i'd say you're definitely limited. what's the extra cost to get the Phenom II x4 955 now? Isn't that about the same as you're going to pay in two years to get it then [after the price comes down]? so why wait?
there's a psu sizer app on the newegg.com power supplies page -- left side ... put the 955 in as cpu with your other gear and see what it says.
and yes, you want an aftermarket heatsink/fan. i'm not happy with the retail box ones.

sure, they are. in basic terms verify the 8GB of RAM is a twin channel equipment (2 x 4GB) and not in uncomplicated words a single 8GB stick. And get GTX660 Ti, lots better constructive than the non-Ti version. additionally, you will in all risk want a sturdy after industry processor cooler, purely with the help of fact the Intel inventory cooler sucks, and it extremely is likewise noisy. Get Cooler draw close V6 GT (ideal) or Hyper 212 EVO.
