Should I attend a live WWE Smackdown show that will be televised on Friday Night Smackdown on the Syfy network?
WQ:) I'm trying to decide whether or not to attend a WWE Smackdown event
that will be held in Texas later this Spring in May this will be a recording of the
Friday Night Smackdown show and the tickets go on sale today 10 a.m. in the
morning. In order to ensure I get some great tickets I have to buy them on that
on-sale date. According to the card no Undertaker and no Dolph Ziggler so will
attending the event still be worth a price of admission? I attended Smackdown
twice last year and I was hoping that RAW brand would be in my area this time.
BQ:) Is it just me or has WWE raised the price on the tickets usually it was a
price of $65-$75 a floor seat in the front row and now these seats are sold for a
price of $250 each they are considered 'Platinum' and 'Premium' seating is this
the case everywhere in the world or has WWE just raised the prices in Texas?

@Hey Su-Susudio how are you? I've attending close to 20 Wwe events throughout
my life. It is just the last Smackdown event I attended was a disappointment. This
was back in October 2010 when Raw traded Edge to Smackdown for Cm Punk in
the card Cm Punk was advertised in a match to face Rey Mysterio and that didn't
happen and the Undertaker didn't show up either. This wasn't a televised wrestling
show though nonetheless it was somewhat disappointing to false advertised Wwe
Smackdown card hey feel free to add me to a contact so you can answer more of
my wrestling questions on yahoo answers I tried to add you and you don't allow it.
-Check my old yahoo question out. Yeah maybe they might do that with Triple H's
movie "“The Chaperone" is scheduled to be released Tuesday on DVD everywhere.
Also, before in addition to Smackdown they also use to include ECW or NXT show
and the WWE show starts at 6:30pm so they might include some bonus matches.

Gosh, I'm late.
I think that its worth it. You never know who's gonna be there. The last few times I've went, I got some good surprises. Bummer that 'Taker & Dolph's not gonna be there, though. There's still some good guys that'll be there. Edge, Christian, Kofi, maybe Mistico (Sin Cara), Del Rio. Matter of fact, all of the names you listed, besides those annoying divas, would have me very interested in going.
To me, going to a live show is so much more entertaining than watching on TV. The matches may not be the best, but to me, it always looks better in person. Maybe it's just the thrill of seeing it in person, I guess. And since this isn't a house show, you can probably expect a Raw star or two to be on SD! Also, depending on the draft, you might see a few of the guys or girls you wanted to see on Raw if they get drafted to SmackDown since the show's in May. And you'll get to see a little bit of the Superstars taping.
BQ: Well, I haven't been to nearly as many shows as you, but all the times I've been, the front row floor seats have been that price. And I live in Louisiana.

Well if I were you, I'd get tickets. Personally, I like to take advantage of every WWE event that comes my way, regardless of which superstars are going to be there. Sure, it would be nice to see The Undertaker and Dolph Ziggler, but I bet you'll have a great time either way. I've attended a number of events in the past that were missing a few top superstars from the card, but I still have always enjoyed myself. If you're not thrilled about the lineup, just don't purchase tickets that are too expensive. And even if the event isn't that great wrestling-wise, having good company with you always makes it fun. Some of the events I've been to weren't all that great, but the people I attended the show with made it enjoyable for me. And who knows, if you stick around after the show, you might even get to see or meet some WWE superstars. If I were you, I'd definitely go. :)
BQ: I haven't been to an event in a while, but it does seem like the ticket prices have gotten a lot more expensive..

I'd go to it. It isn't every day that you get to go to SmackDown that's going to be taped. Even though it's advertised for May there's still a possibility Undertaker might be there, since it's near Over the Limit and Taker usually takes a break around June/July and returns around Wrestlemania. If I were you i'd go to it because the next time you go it might be worse than the one your planning on going to.
BQ: It seems like they rose the prices, maybe because Vince wants the extra money. Plus there Platinum and Premium seats so that's part of the reason why it's so expensive.

in my honest opinion if you really enjoy wrestling, then you would have a good time. yeah sometimes smackdown is dissapointed just like raw and tna. but i wouldn't resist buying them. if you want to have a good time, sometimes you got to take a chances hoping you will. usually when you go, you have fun right? smackdown can have good matches at times. people say smackdown is a better show, because of better quality matches. if you don't buy the tickets you will probably regret not buying them and wonder what it would have been like if you went. smackdown has entertaining superstars and talented ones. you have edge who has done it all and a crafty veteran. you have rey mysterio, the biggest little man and the king of lucha libre. you have "dashing" cody rhodes, who is a talented and entertaining superstar. you also have alberto delrio, who is a fast rising star and a really good heel. laycool is also entertaining. i also heard texas has good fans and are into the show. if you go this time and dissapointed, then i wouldn't go for a while. but you probably, should go if you can afford it .good luck joey!.

Yes, I would go. I enjoy going to WWE Live Events, talking to fellow wrestling fans about present storylines, past storylines, past shows, upcoming shows. You also get to buy merchandise that you won't necessarily see at WWE Shop. Sometimes you also get information and Access to The Internet Pre Sale for upcoming shows. Plus, you'll get at least 1 Dark Match and 1 Bonus Main Event that won't be shown on television.

You should go man! Taker or Ziggler may not be there but it 'd be much better to see it in person than watching it later on t.v. I have yet to go to a live event and I wouldn't pass up that opportunity. Not to mention the dark matches and dark main events that we viewing from home don't usually get to see.

Yes you should attend that show. It will be fun to be there and see them (Well it's always fun)!
BQ: No they didn't raise the prices. $65 to $75 tickets are only for RAW, SmackDown and the $250 tickets are for the PPVs.

i would if you can afford it. i didn't get the ringside seats but i had seats that were in a lower tier and i really enjoyed it. i will say this though. it was kind of cool seeing it live and then tuning in friday and watching it on tv! what was really great was that when we were there they were selling copies of big show's movie and if you bought a copy there then you got two wristbands to go see big show and get his autograph and that was pretty great. i also last year went to see a taping of raw and that was when bret hart came back. so you never really know what could happen.
hope this helps you decide!
