Was the 4.7 High Output engine the only V8 offered in 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited?

The WJJeeps webpage http://www.wjjeeps.com/engine.htm seems to indicate the High Output version of the 4.7 Liter engine was Optional in the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited.

On the other hand, in the "Jeep 4x4 Performance Handbook" 2nd edition by Jim Allen, it states "The standard 4.7 liter debuted in 1999 and the HO in 2002. The HO was optional for 2002 and 2003 and standard from then on."

So, which is it? Was the HO version the only version of the 4.7l engine available in the 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited?

Yes, the 4.7 was put into the 2004. I know this because the Hemi was released into them in 2005. The 4.7 wasn't that great of an engine. It was notorious for sludge build up. If you buy one, go for the straight six.

I easily have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee; in spite of if that could be a 6 cylinder. i'm getting approximately 19-21 in the city and 24-26 on the line. i might think of a V8 might get extremely under what I journey. i like my Grand Cherokee. that is been exciting tocontinual and extremely sturdy. in case you have become a sturdy deal, i might say, "choose for it!"
